BECAUSE & BECAUSE OF

Baik kata because maupun because of digunakan untuk menyatakan alasan ; mengapa seseorang melakukan sesuatu atau mengapa sesuatu terjadi.pelajari pola dan contohnya berikut ini.

A. BECAUSE

Kata because diikuti oleh sebuah kalimat atau anak kalimat

... because + Kalimat (S+V)

Ex:

1. I came late because i had a flat tire.

2. He did not come yesterday because he was sick.

3. Dewi doesn’t want to meet John because she hates him.

4. I lived in Yogyakarta for a long time because Yogyakarta is interisting.

B. BECAUSE OF

Frase bacause of diikuti oleh kata benda (nouns) atau kata ganti orang (pronoun). Pelajari polanya berikut ini.

... because of + Nouns/Pronouns

Ex:

1. I came late because of the flat tire.

2. He didn’t come yesterday because of his father’s death.

3. Dewi doesn’t want to meet John because of his bad behavior.

4. I respect her because of her parents.

Frase yang serupa dengan because of adalah due to. Polanya sama seperti pola bentuk because of, yaitu diikuti oleh kata benda (nouns) atau kata ganti (pronouns).

Ex:

1. I came late due to the traffic jam.

2. He didn’t come yesterday due to his father’s death.

3. I study in Yogyakarta due to its good education.

4. I respect her due to her parents.
